"Debate By The Beach"

Mine Field Game

The team has come to a battle field that has been laid with mines. One person at a time must attempt to cross the battlefield without stepping on a mine. Once a team member steps on a mine, they must return back to the start.

Equipment Required:

  1. Minefield (any kind of ring{rubber/plastic} that can take one feet at a time) set out on the beach sand.

  2. Cones (or any object that is vertical standing up maybe 2 -3ft)

Space Required:

The rings are spread a little bit far from each other with different space measurement. Group Size: 2-10 groups. Total Time: 45 minutes
  1. 5 minutes to brief and set up

  2. 35 minutes to achieve outcome

  3. 5 minutes to review and debrief Minefield Team Challenge Instructions

  4. Lay out your Minefield on a flat area with plenty of space i.e the rings spread all over the ground with the cones

  5. Organize the group and brief them on the task: The team has come to a battle field that has been laid with mines. The entire team must cross the minefield without stepping on a mine.


  1. Only one person is allowed on the Minefield at any time

  2. Every person must step in the middle of the ring without stepping on the ring, and also not colliding with the cones, if unsuccessful in their attempt to cross they must go to the back of the line and the next person must try to cross.

  3. Once a participant is on the minefield, the rest of the team must be silent.

  4. Active participants can only move forward and not backward. A move can be in any direction, but not backward.
